About the Nightmare

I’m not a therapist or a dream analyst. I’m just someone who spent 24 years in a relationship that should’ve ended 20 years earlier—and then bought a house that finally broke the spell.

Somewhere along the way, writing a memoir turned into something bigger. This space holds the fragments, dreams, and messy in-betweens.

While the full memoir isn’t available here (I plan to actually publish it—because emotional trauma deserves royalties), you’ll find a preview, updates, and reflections that orbit around it.

Along my healing journey, I also started having bizarre, symbolic, sometimes hilarious dreams like my subconscious was processing everything with a warped sense of humor. So I started writing those down too.

You’ll find both here:

  • A preview of my memoir: how I woke up from a long, quiet emotional nightmare.
  • And the dream blog: how my brain’s still trying to make sense of it all while I sleep.

If you’ve ever stayed too long, gaslit yourself into silence, or woken up wondering what the hell just happened—welcome.

It’s messy. But it’s real. And for once, it’s mine.
